Search and find in the new web model

The search function is one of the most important new features in WebModel. After entering just a few characters, relevant results are displayed, which can be filtered as needed. From the search results, you can navigate directly to properties, images, or embedded hyperlinks.
Search syntax
AND search (enter multiple terms)
If multiple terms or parts of terms are entered, the search is performed as an AND search by default. An object will only be displayed in the search results if it contains all entered search terms.
Exact search (put terms in quotation marks)
If you want to refine the results list while typing, for example, if you know the exact name of a process, you can enclose the search terms in quotation marks. In this case, the search will look for the exact word or phrase combination.
OR search (using OR between terms)
The counterpart to the AND search is the OR search. If you enter the OR operator between the individual search terms, objects containing either one term or the other will be found. This usually yields the largest number of search results.
Possible combinations
The AND search, exact search, and OR search options can also be combined to refine the search results.
How to use the search function
- Click in the search box or alternatively press [CTRL+K].
- Enter one or more search terms or parts thereof.
The search results are displayed immediately and can be filtered by the desired object type using the buttons. - Click on a search result to directly open the properties or the graphic of the found object.
Display and filter search results
In the results list window, several buttons {{1}} are available above the search results, allowing you to narrow your search to specific object types, such as graphics. Each button also displays the number of results found.
Within the search results list {{2}}, you can navigate using the arrow keys. Press [ENTER ] to open the selected result, and [ESC] to close the search window.
Additionally, the context menu {{3}} of an object is available in the search results list by right-clicking. This allows you to open the associated graphic, view its properties, highlight the object in the structure view, or use the share function.
The Toggle View button {{4}} allows you to expand the display of the hit list to show additional information about the search results.
This does reveal more details {{5}}, but at the same time reduces the number of hits that are visible without scrolling.
The match locations of a search result are also highlighted in blue {{6}} in the properties window.
If the search terms are contained in different areas of an object, the hits may be distributed across multiple groups.
The corresponding groups are additionally marked by a search symbol {{7}}.
