Navigating the new viflow WebModel has become even easier and is largely self-explanatory. You can access the properties of objects, process graphics, and linked files (as in viflow) from the graphics window, the object list, or the properties window.

In addition, there is a convenient search function and the option to access up to 10 freely definable hyperlinks and an email address for feedback directly from the menu bar.

For navigation within the process model, the object list {{1}} and the process graphics {{2}} are available in the graphics window. All object information is displayed in the properties window {{3}}, and from here you can, for example, open linked documents or processes.

1 – Navigation in the process list

1. To open the process list, select the "Processes" entry (default setting) in the object list on the left.
   
2. Left-click the arrow symbols [>] in the process list to display subprocesses.
   A direct click on a process with a subprocess opens the process graph – at the same time, the process properties are displayed in the properties window.
    Clicking on a process without a subprocess displays the process properties in the properties window.
3. Alternatively, you can navigate via the context menu.
   To do this, right-click on the process and select one of the options – Open graph (if available) or Properties.
    You can also access the share function from here and open hyperlinks associated with the object (if available).

Object list display options

The window containing the object list is displayed on the left side of the browser window in the WebModel and can be shown in different ways:

• Attach window
  Click the pin icon {{1}} to permanently display the window. The icon will be highlighted in color.
  With the Hide button {{2}} You can hide the window at any time. Clicking on "Object List" will then show it again.
• Automatic folding and unfolding
  If the pin icon is not activated (and not highlighted), the object list is automatically shown and hidden. In this state, only the corresponding button {{3}} remains visible on the left edge of the window.
   The window containing the object list will only expand when you move the mouse pointer over the button or the left edge of the screen. This setting is particularly suitable for smaller monitors or when as much space as possible is needed for displaying the graphics.

2 – Navigation in the graphics window

Simple click

A simple right-click opens the properties of the respective object in the properties window on the right.

Double-click

To open a subprocess with a graphic, double-click on the desired process or, in the current process graphic, on a process icon that is marked with a shade (indicating existing subprocesses).

Alternatively, you can also open the graphic of the subprocess or the process connected via connector from the context menu (su).

Right-click

Right-clicking on a graphic object opens the context menu.
 Here, various actions can be performed depending on the object type and the content stored. The option highlighted in bold always indicates the double-click function:

• Open graphic
  If the process has a graphic, this is usually recognizable by the shaded process shape.
• Characteristics
• Select in the structure view / folder view
  It highlights and displays the object on the left in the object list.
• Split
  Share via email or Microsoft Teams, or copy the link.
• connectors
  If available, you can jump directly to the linked process graph by clicking on a connector here. The target object will be marked with a blue frame and highlighted by flashing for a few seconds.
• Hyperlinks
  If this object has been assigned a hyperlink, it can also be accessed from here (and also from the properties window).

Connectors

If you have used information (connection arrows in the graphic) as connectors ( ››› Connectors – Connections between processes) during modeling, you can use these to "jump" to other processes in the WebModel.

The best way to do this is to use the context menu:
Right-clicking the connector opens the context menu with further options.
Click on a link displayed under Connectors to view the linked process.

Alternatively (and if there is only one jump target), a double-click is sufficient:
Double-clicking the connector (connection arrow) in the graphic will open the linked process.

To quickly show where the connector's target is located in the graphic, the process shape in the target process flashes for a few seconds.
