Deleting viflow objects

This chapter describes how to delete viflow objects – processes/branches, information and areas - from the graphic and from the process model. The objects removed from the process model are moved to the recycle bin and can be restored. Deleting viflow objects from the graphic
- Mark the viflow object in the process graphic. To select multiple objects, hold down the [CTRL] key or drag a selection area around multiple shapes with the left mouse button.
- Click the [DEL] key on the keyboard.
The objects are deleted from the graphic.
The viflow objects deleted from the graphic are only removed from this graphic; the objects remain in the process model and can still be used.
If an object has local properties (such as assigned documents or participants) that would be lost if deleted from the graphic, a corresponding warning message appears.
If you confirm this with Yes, the local properties of the object in this graphic are irrevocably deleted. The object itself is removed from the graphic, but can still be used with its global properties.
Deleting process shapes with connectors is not possible.
In this case, first remove the connector connection of the process.
Connectors cannot be deleted from the graphic as long as there are associated objects. The assignments are listed in the Choose ojects to delete window. In this example it is a connector connection 
and stored local properties

Remove the tick from the objects that should not be deleted.
Deleting viflow objects from the Process Model
When deleting viflow objects - processes, information, areas - from the process model, they are first moved to the recycle bin. They are only permanently deleted when the recycle bin is emptied or when the objects are removed manually from the recycle bin.
Simultaneously press the [SHIFT] button and the [DEL] key (or Delete from the context menu .png)
), the selected object is permanently deleted and not moved to the recycle bin.
Objects deleted in this way cannot be recovered!
Right-click in the process model (e.g. in the Processes, Information, Areas windows) on the object to be deleted and select [.png)
] the Delete command. Alternatively, mark the object in the window and press the [DEL] key.
When deleting a process, the following query appears:
The query differs according to the object type and its content depends on whether graphics are available and whether the processes, information or areas contained therein can or should be deleted.
When deleting areas and information, the option to delete only the individual shape in the graphic is no longer available.
